College planning has become more complex — academically, financially, and strategically. Families today aren’t just choosing schools; they’re making a series of decisions that affect long-term options and return on investment.
My work focuses on bringing structure, perspective, and experienced judgment to that process so families can make informed, deliberate choices.

This work tends to be a good fit for families who:
want strong, realistic options
value clarity over pressure
care about long-term fit and outcomes, not just prestige

I didn’t come to college admissions through a traditional counseling path.
I’m a Cornell-educated engineer and former industry executive with decades of experience hiring, leading, and mentoring talent in technical and analytical fields. That background shapes how I evaluate college decisions — not as isolated admissions events, but as choices that affect long-term flexibility, opportunity, and return on investment.
Staying current matters in this work. I actively track changes in higher education policy, admissions practices, and institutional priorities, and I’m a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association. I adhere to its code of ethics and professional standards because integrity and sound judgment matter when families are making consequential decisions.
I also pay close attention to technical shifts — including the growing role of artificial intelligence — and how they affect the admissions process, academic expectations, and student success after matriculation. These changes are already influencing how colleges evaluate students and how students navigate college itself.
Families remain the decision-makers throughout the process. My role is to surface considerations, explain implications, and offer clear recommendations grounded in experience, ethics, and current realities.

Families arrive at different moments. An Introductory Conversation helps clarify priorities and determine the most appropriate next step — based on where your family is now.
